Our Process
Our fees on this website are a range of typical fees. It would not normally be necessary to undertake other work or incur other costs, other than those described on this website. However, we can provide you with a tailored quote for all stages of your particular case once we have spoken to you about your specific circumstances in our initial call. In general, this quote will depend on the complexity and urgency of your case and the number of documents to review. We can agree our fee with you as a fixed fee at the start of your case.
Our fees on this website do not include any other costs, for example disbursements. Typically, disbursements include barrister fees, expert fees or translation / interpreting fees. It may be necessary to incur barrister fees for advocacy in appeals or for advice. It may be necessary to incur expert fees to obtain evidence to support your case. It may be necessary to incur translation / interpreting fees if you have foreign language documents or to help you to communicate with us. These fees vary, depending on the amount of work that you require and the person / company that you use. In general, barrister fees are around £200-£800 per hour (plus VAT at 20% if applicable). Expert fees can range from around £500-£5000 (plus VAT at 20% if applicable) for an expert report.
In addition, there may be Government fees for applications or Tribunal fees for appeals. Government fees for Sponsor Licence applications normally start from £536. Further Government fees are payable for later stages of the process and they vary, depending on the number of people that you want to sponsor and the period for which you want to sponsor them. Government fees for most visa applications under the UK Immigration Rules are approximately £1,000-£7,000. Tribunal fees for appeals are normally £140.
The timescales comprise the time that we take and the time that the Government and/or Tribunal take. Normally, we can complete our work on an application within around 1 month, or on an appeal within 3-6 months. However, this also depends on (for example) the time that you need to obtain the documents for your application or appeal. In general, the Government makes a decision within 1-6 months of receipt of your application. However, this also depends on (for example) the category of your application and the fee that you pay to them. In general, the First Tier Tribunal makes a decision within 4-8 weeks of the hearing of your appeal.
